Our Founder’s Story

Trajectrain was created by Dr. Joseph Augustin, a former educator with a lifelong passion for sports science, biomechanics, and youth development. Throughout his life Joseph Augustin enjoyed watching the game of basketball being played and shooting on courts where he lived. Drawing from his experience of the challenges he had learning to shoot a basketball and his background in anatomy, kinesiology, and teaching, Dr. Augustin recognized a major gap in how young athletes were learning to shoot.

Too often, training tools were either too expensive, too simplistic, or lacked the visual feedback needed for real improvement. So he began prototyping a new kind of shot trainer—one that would teach players not only to aim high, but to train smarter.

We’re building more than just equipment—we’re creating a movement around athlete-centered training. Our vision is to establish Trajectrain as the #1 brand in trajectory-focused shooting trainer equipment in the U.S., and reach out to young athlete everywhere who want to improve.
